The confidentiality of your personal information is of the utmost importance to Courtage Innovation Inc. (hereinafter, “Innovation” or “we/us”), also doing business under the name of Demano. This Privacy Policy pertains to information that we collect concerning yourself or that you communicate to us via our website located at www.demano.ca (the “Platform”), via our telephone call distribution system to the partner brokerage firms (the "Call Distribution System") or otherwise. It also explains how we use cookies and other similar technologies. By communicating your personal information to us, using our Call Distribution System or visiting our Platform, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and its provisions.
We collect, use and communicate personal information about you for various reasons, in particular to:
Our Platform uses cookies. A cookie is a very small text file that is automatically stored on the hard drive of a website visitor’s computer. These files help us to ensure the smooth functioning of our Platform and to personalize, facilitate and enhance your visit to our Platform. Google only uses the information collected to produce statistics and reports on navigation on our Platform. This enables us to improve our services.

If you do not wish to transmit information to Google Analytics, you can download and install this module in your Web browser.
We do not transmit any personal information collected by our Call Distribution System or our Platform’s intermediary to
anyone without your consent. You can withdraw your consent regarding the
communication or use of your information by submitting a request to us to that effect, as
detailed below.
In accordance with applicable legislation, we maintain the accuracy and confidentiality of
the personal information we collect with respect to users who access our Platform and
use our various services.
However, we reserve the right to disclose such personal information if we are required to
do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such a move is necessary to ensure
compliance with the law or with a legal proceeding, and/or to protect us, defend our
rights or property and/or to prevent and detect illegal activities and fraud and/or to
evaluate and improve security protection measures.
To meet your needs, however, some of your personal information may still be communicated to brokerage firms with which Innovation does business and to certain
insurance companies, as applicable. Some of your information may also be communicated outside Quebec, depending on the location of the insurance companies
with which we currently have a partnership or will have in the future.
In addition, a person in charge of data protection ensures that Innovation handles the
personal data it holds in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This person is

This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to our Call Distribution System and our Platform. However, our Platform may contain links enabling individuals to visit external websites that are not operated in accordance with this Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult the policies of the operators of those external websites for clarification on how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed.
As required by law, the personal information collected via our Call Distribution system and our Platform and used to provide you with an insurance quote and to refer you to a brokerage firm is stored for a period of one (1) year. Since our referral services are ultimately designed to provide you with insurance coverage via a brokerage firm, when our services are no longer required and the one-year storage period has expired, your personal information will be depersonalized and stored exclusively for statistical purposes.
Depersonalized information can no longer be used to identify you directly. We will take all reasonable steps to limit the risks of anyone identifying you using depersonalized information.
In the event that we intend to sell or transfer the ownership or control our company, our business or our services to a third party, in whole or in part, we reserve the right to disclose your personal information to a potential buyer before and after the sale. However, if the sale takes place, we will require the buyer to be duly bound by the provisions of this Privacy Policy. If the sale does not take place, we will require the potential buyer not to use or disclose your personal information in any way and to destroy it immediately, without exception.
We take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from
unauthorized access. Our Platform has an SSL certificate designed to keep data and
transactions secure. Only authorized persons have access to this information.
However, please be advised that emails are not always a secure means of transmitting
information. We cannot guarantee that information transmitted via email will not be lost,
altered or used fraudulently or illegally.
We store users’ personal information in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy. As users, you may consult your personal information at any time
by submitting a request to that effect and by following the steps detailed below. You may
also request that your personal information be rectified. However, your right to access or
make corrections to your personal information is subject to applicable legal restrictions.

In the event of any divergence in meaning or interpretation between the original French- language version of this Privacy Policy and a translation, the original French- language version shall prevail.
